Ultralite Solid Fuel Ti Cook System

Unbelievably light set-up! All the components fit into the pot with plenty of room to spare for fuel tablets, a method of ignition and brew kit.

Esbit tends to be overlooked these days in favour of meths or gas but it's a very compact, lightweight, reliable fuel. It's only drawback is that it can be a bit tricky to light and stormproof matches are a better method of ignition than a flint & steel.

All the components in this kit are manufactured from titanium and each comes in its tiny nylon stuffsack. The pot is quite stable on the pot supports and everything is well-made, with the exception of the foil windshield, which was a bit crumpled and far too springy to be of much practical use. I'll make a windshield from the foil sold by BPL.

Overall, an excellent cooking system, especially suitable for making a brew on a daywalk or fishing trip. Mine has replaced my Jetboil for the latter purpose.

Great bit of kit - I find the stove a bit small for big burns however the whole unit is great. The mug can also hold a small gas can and stove so I have a win win. I would recommend this to anyone.

Fantastically light and easy to use. The windshield is VERY light and needs some support. A couple of twigs work well but I'll be getting some titanium tent pegs for my kit which will help. Brilliant service from BackpackingLight as well.

Very lightweight, good quality item. I ended up buying another for my partner. Given the forecast of bad weather, these now reside in our work bags in case we get stranded; everything you need for a brew fits inside the mug.

Great product, fantastic service

For pretty much the price elswhere of a similar sized potug you'd be hard pressed (one you've adjusted your mindset to the cost of Ti versus Al) to beat this nifty little combination. All that's additionally needed is a couple of Ti skewer tent pegs to stop the windshield blowing away and a heat mat (tin foil off a pie tray works fine) to protect the ground. Looking forward to using this on an overnight ML wild camping bivy trek next month.. Arrived almost by return of post and I liked the short personal note about the beans!
