Is there a perfect trouser?
Thursday, 18 December 2014  |

I really wanted to give these 5 stars, and they deserve it except for a couple of small things - isn't the devil always in the detail? And probably more subjective with trousers than some back packing kit. I feel they could do with just one more pocket - I know, too many trousers have had way too many pockets for years now. One bum and/or one leg pocket (my choice is for the latter, but even with that there is choice - big enough for map? or wallet...) would seal the deal. A bum pocket won't appeal to many, as not always accessible with a big pack on, and it's a wear point too. And with thin-ish fabric as on the Montane's maybe a leg pocket wouldn't hand right. Montane kit is always a closer fit than most too, and I am always top-end size-wise, with XL usually being too baggy - I like a 'good' fit, close but not restrictive, and these just about make it for me. My personal problem is that I can't fit my exo-skeleton leg brace under them! But that's no one's fault but mine for falling off my skis many years ago... Yogabob.

Terra Pants
Tuesday, 26 March 2013  |

I bought these pants recently and having tried them out on the snow topped Malvern hills, I can say they are fantastic. They're a great fit, definitely kept the wind and snow out. They're also padded in all the right areas so I'm happy to be packing them for some climbing in The Peaks this weekend. I'd definitely recommend these to anyone, great price and excellent customer service as well.
