Fri, 28 Oct 2005 12:24:07 GMT On the 16th of April 05, her 40th birthday, Lorraine stepped out for a quiet walk. A very long walk. Set started an epic continuous trip of the munros of Scotland which took in all 284 mountains over 3000 feet.
A total distance of 1600 miles and ascents which equalled climbing Everest 30 times! The crossings to the islands were done via Sea Kayak and these too proved to be a challenge all on their own.
Its hard to visualise listening to this quiet lilting voice, that this petite woman achieved such a tough challenge before finishing on the 3rd of September at a very large party!
