 We are a small family run company and between us we have tackled most
things the average person might seek advice on regarding equipment and
clothing, be it camping, trekking, cycling, horse riding, world travel
and D of E.
Our aim is to provide a first class service, making it as
easy as we can to browse, purchase and exchange any items we sell. We
also want to make the whole experience fun and informative as well, so
we hope you enjoy the podcasts, video and additional media.
Out
motto is ‘minimum weight - maximum fun’. The aim is to bring you a
range of carefully selected, well researched, value for money products
from around the world, which will lighten your load and enhance your
outdoor experience.
We also will be touching on the metal
approach of ‘going lighter’, which could be the cheapest investment you
could make to improve your enjoyment.
Where we can, we try to
support the smaller innovative British companies whose products meet
our needs along with other suppliers from around Europe and further
afield.

We all enjoy the outdoors but if we don't look after our environment, it isn't going to be there.
For this reason we try to make all our paperwork, correspondence and marketing material using the digital format. Our packaging and printed material is recycled where possible and if we can, we will use biodegradable products. We aslo recycle cartons we ourselves receive from our suppliers. Although they may not be as presentable as new ones we are sure you will still appreciate that not only does this keep costs down but also assists in protecting the environment.
Many items we sell will arrive from the manufacturers protected in plastic, which we try to limit this as much as practically possible.
Please recycle what packaging you can and dispose of the rest with care to the environment. There are various alternative eco friendly products in our range in the personal hygiene section.
These have all been tried and tested by ourselves and the comments are shown.

We have tried to gather together a real eclectic range of products, both clothing and equipment, to enhance your outdoor experience.
We want to help you ‘get out more’ and so we’ve combined our sales activity with ‘podcast’ interviews which we hope you find informative, inspirational and entertaining.
There’s much that can be gained from hearing about how others approach their backpacking activity, and over a period of time we hope to build a library to cover most interests.
As the website develops you will find more and more informative pictures and videos about products, their features and use. The internet is a great communication medium and we intend to make the most of it.

A good few products we sell are established high profile items, which many others will retail. However, you may find new items not normally sold by ‘outdoor outlets’ but which still have great benefit to you.
We are trying to support British products where we can, however there are many other items from around the world we would like to introduce you to.
We will endeavour to pass on our savings to you and from time to time will have various ‘promotions’ which I’m sure you will be interested in.
