Many years ago we used to sell something like this from the US, which was incredibly popular, however they stopped production.

However this has just arrived in the UK with better features, but the principle is the still the same.

These solar chargers are now getting more compatible with most MP3 and Smart Phones however the prices can still be a touch on the high side.

We've come across this cracking little item, which is small, functional, light, simple and very, very affordable.

So if you have 'any' item which can be charged via a USB port you will 'always' have back up power.

The way to use it, is to charge it via USB before you leave and thus you always have a full charge ready for when you need it. Whilst travelling, just keep it on the outside of your backpack to maintain the maximum charge. Or if yu are travelling, leave it by the window for the day.

Once you use it and 're-charge' your iPhone (or whatever) you simply pop back onto your backpack and (depending on conditions) it will charge during the day ready for next time.

The clever part with this unit, is there are only 2 connections at the base. A Mini USB for charging 'from' as USB port, and the normal full USB conector for removing the charge. Simple!

So if you have an item which can be charged from a USB port, simply plug it in. I've checked this with all my Apple products and it provides a full charge. Ideal for my iPhone for example.

It is also supplied with a small adapter lead and this offers you a variety of connections to suit most most Smart Phones/MP3 players.
