For those who do not wish to use products which contain Deet and do not have faith in “all natural” repellents, a new scientifically tested alternative is on the market.
It is called Saltidin / Icaridin. It is a safe and reliable ingredient that protects the skin against (malaria) mosquitoes, flies, sand flies, ticks.
The World health Organisation (WHO) recommends Saltidin as an active ingredient as an insect repellent substance.
Care Plus Anti-Insect Sensitive is suitable for holiday destination as and beyond and can be used for children from the age of 2 and remains effective for 6 to 8 hours. More frequent application is not recommended.
It is easy to apply and does not affect synthetic materials. One unit should be sufficient for 2 to 3 weeks daily use but must be used sparingly on all uncovered skin.
Avoid eye contact, nose lips etc. Better to roll on palm of your hand and then spread on the face. Obviously don’t apply to sensitive or damaged skin or behind knees, elbow creases. Best to apply 10 minutes before going out into the sun and if used with block lotion apply the sun block first, then wait 10 minutes before applying Care Plus Sensitive.
Wash hands before eating and drinking after using. Not suitable for pregnant or breast feeding women.
If any product remains do not dispose of in normal household refuse but in a chemical waste collection.
