Titanium is a direct conductor. In other words heat transfers from one side of the pan to the other easily and doesn't spread very much, and so non stick pans help with minimising intense hot spots where food might stick and burn.

The silicon ceramic coating also enables easy cleaning, however do bare in mind that like any non stick coating, sustained heavy rubbing with a coarse scrubber will scratch the surface.

We've been using our non stick pans for a while now, especially the fry pan and it still is producing lovely pancakes.

Stock supplied comes with a grey handle.

very lightweight and strong, but not sure about the non-stick
Monday, 18 April 2016  |

Definitely the most lightweight pans I've ever seen, and very strong for their weight. Well-made and with permanently attached, ergonomical, insulated handles that fold around the pots when not in use, allowing the small pot to nest inside the big one.
A bit let down on the non-stick aspect; I am not sure if I did something very wrong, but I tried making pop-corn (with oil, so that it doesn't stick) on my trangia (normally a doddle, and the trangia is a relatively low-powered burner) and it burnt badly straight away, leaving a black gunk that won't go away, no matter what I do to clean it. It may be non-stick with sauces, but I wouldn't try much frying in such a light-weight and thin-walled pan.
If I had bought the simple pot version (non-non-stick...), it would get 5/5.

Don't bother with the non-stick
Tuesday, 15 April 2014  |

Firstly I can't fault backpackinglight -superb service! Now the pans - don't pay extra for the non-stick version. The pans nest so tightly that the handle of the smaller pan scraps off the non-stick of the larger pan and my burnt on chili is still stuck onto the smaller pan. Bought on Friday, used on Saturday and reviewed Tuesday. Pans are nice and light though.

Evernew recommend that any burnt on food should not be rubbed off, but 'cooked' off to prevent damage. I've had the same on my frying pan and sure enough it fell off in the following 'cook off'.
