In stock, immediate despatch

Years ago I carried one of these and found it really useful.

Partly for watching the wildlife, partly for staring at the stars but mainly for scanning ahead along paths, to see if I could spot the better terrain, long before I had to face making a mistake and cutting across country to get back on the path.

Recently I had a trip to Scotland, and took this unit, and found it excellent. My previous one was huge and heavy by comparison and I was a bit concerned the light nature of this, would mean poor optics and performance.

Nothing could be further from the truth, and by way of approval, my walking companions all stated they wanted one as soon as they were available.

This is a times 7 magnification with a 18 degree angle of view.

I'm keeping mine in my bag of useful bits from now on!

What the makers say:
Small but mighty, the Brunton Echo 7x18 Pocket Scope offers a great combination of magnification, field of view, and brightness, in a small and inexpensive scope. Love this little scope. Great for route finding and reading signs at a distance, but also for wildlife. I went for the bright orange to match my Zippo. Much easier to find on the grass at dusk...

I've not used it on a walk yet but a friend who has a much more expensive sort of scope is jealous: hers is heavier and far harder to focus, with no better magnification.

Can't fault this product at all, it produces a clear magnification and is very small and lightweight, much better performance than all of the other monoculars that my colleagues have brought out in competition!

Just got it, quick service now Bob has changed postage carriers.
Found it very light and the focus and clarity first class. Just compared it to my Leica Trinovid 8x25 bins.under poor light and the difference in optical quality is negligible. Leica cost 500 + So for 22 a bargain!

Had to replace mine which I lost somewhere! Useful little scope for checking out a route, bird watching or as I did yesterday, watching people negotiate the bad step on Sharp Edge.
Oh and great service as well.

This is a brilliant little thing - I have one rather like it already, but it weighs more than twice as much. The focus on the new one is fairly sharp - not as good as my old one which was pretty pricey, but practically, in use, difficult to fault as it is good enough - although the focussing is very direct, 1/2 a mm enough to completely lose it. However, the range of focus is excellent over all distances.

When binoculars would be too heavy, this little scope does the job. Fills a need and weighs next to nothing. Good focus and adequate magnification for general use, not for experts.
