It comes with a strong user friendly nylon handle for a consistent grip, good for over 12000 fires and the striker blade can also be used as a small saw. This will probably be the last striker you will ever need to buy. Simple to use and incredibly effective.
I've found the quickest way to start a fire is to use cotton wool, which I keep in my emergency bag in the form of a couple of tampons. Unfold them and place the flint upright into the centre of your tinder. Strike down with the serrated blade....instant fire!
