 The simple things if life are the best! There is an old saying 'KISS', Keep It Simple Stupid and this product falls into that category.
When going solo lightweight I just use the dish and found it to be everything I ever need on the hills. Weighing in at 45g the dish sits flat down the rear of the rucksack taking up no space at all unlike the equivalent tin plate. Then when I'm preparing my food I use it as a chopping board or even a windshield, before heating my meal through and folding up the sides to put my food into.
