 This is a sensational new product which has just been released following extensive testing at UK laboratories. It is the lightest proven system in the world in a 500ml bottle.Drinking water you can rely on is something any outdoors person will face at some stage. Once you away from clear fast flowing water, doubt begins to creep in, especially near inhabited or industrial areas and the importance of clean drinking water becomes highly important. Further afield, when traveling or on holiday, there equally many times when you would like to be sure the water you are drinking is safe, any probably will not have the right equipment with you to boil it, or add chemicals. This product is amazing. The in-built filtration and purification system is second to none, and it removes everything you may consider to be a concern in the outdoors. It even removes the taste and taint of bad water, or water which may have Iodine or Chlorine in it. So should you feel very nervous, and add a tablet in the base of the bottle, the water which you drink won't have that awful taste. As it is an instant water purification system. You can use it to clean wounds, or top up other drinking water bottles as you go. So one bottle can serve many people, such as a family group. It has been tested to over 400 gallons, approximately 1600 litres and still works 100%. It can be used on multiple trips, be kept in the fridge (NOT the freezer ever!) and doesn't require special maintenance, washing or special treatment. Some notes from the instructions provided with every bottle; Before first use Top of bottle does not unscrew and is permanently sealed - Unscrew base of bottle to fill. Flush water through x3 times with clean water before 1st use to remove sediments in manufacture. Note: Only filter water preferably from running non-saline watercourse. Testing with tea, wine, and fruit juice will negate filter use immediately and block system. This system has been extensively tested with contaminated water containing live bacteria, viral causatives, chemicals and heavy metals, representative of potential realistic field user conditions at UK Government laboratories. How to use 1. Unscrew base. Fill through 40 micron pre filter sieve or remove this and fill bottle replacing sieve. 2. Screw base hand tight. Remove dust cap, pull up drinking spout and gently squeeze the special pliable bottle preferably with both hands. Delivers 100 - 300 ml / minute. Can be used immediately and while on the move. There is also a removable container inside base of bottle to place iodine or chlorine tablets in extreme conditions. NOTE: There is a special one-way vent that enables bottle to resume shape. There is always a small delay as water passes through filter. Aquagear Survivor Can also be used to supply other water reservoir bottle systems, additionally for directly washing, flushing wounds and irrigating eyes. Instructions printed on bottle for use in extreme conditions enable safe use of purification chemicals when used according to instructions. Consider all untreated water sources as suspect however clear they appear. They often contain disease causatives, chemicals and sediments. Always draw clean water: If muddy, let settle before placing within bottle to maximise life of the filter system and prevent premature blockage.
