Another delightful little lightweight 37g Titanium stove from Vargo which meets the needs of the lightweight backpacker.
This time it is a side burning stove, which mean the spread of the flame requires a pot with a diameter of approximately 10cm to make the most of the rising heat.
The base of the stove is 11cm and the pot supporting diameter is 6cm, which gives a very stable feel when your cooking pot is full of liquid.
The height is 3cm, which lifts the flames away from any surrounding grass.
All in all a great stable little cooker, the output of which falls between the gentle Triad and the fierce White Box.
This stove benefits from our lightweight windshield which can be cut to shape to match your pot!
We find it works well with our larger pots and sits neatly in the base for stowage.
Update 1/9/09 - The current Vargo Decagon stove base plate has increased by 1mm diameter, which now means it will not fit neatly inside the rim of the Bush Cooker. However the lid of the 1100ml pot will still close as per normal. Vargo have been informed, and future production items will be reduced to fit correctly.
