This pack has been long overdue from Golite and finally our waiting is over. The 40 Litre Peak rucksack. Big enough for long trips and small enough for long weekends.
At only 765g, and made with gridstop Dyneema with a removable back pad and the new convertabelt adjustable hip-belt for the ultimate in comfortable fit. We are betting this light rucksack will be the one all every day packs are judged by in 2010!
At 40L (large size) and 765g this pack is perfect for the urban commuter, day tripper, long weekender and for the uber-light enthusiast much longer trips. it will also fit into the Ryanair sizing slot, making it the perfect size for a quick cheap get away.
The pack measures 34cm at its widest point x 55cm x 25cm when losely packed. Using the compacktor system, reduces the depth to 20cm.

Environmentally the new 2010 packs are destined to make a great impact within the outdoors industry as they are made from Tier One, 100% recycled nylon fabrics which are now being used across much of the Golite range.
What does Tier 1 mean? The manufacturing process for nylon starts with core pellets. In Golite's case, these pellets have been created from reclaimed nylon fed back into the system, which are then heated and recycled into new pellets. These pellets are then melted and spun into a new fabric woven with Dyneema and thus provides the most durable fabric with an excellent sustainable pedigree from within the manufacturing process for outdoor material.
