| Tyvek is the original non-woven technology from DuPont. Tyvek is made from high density polyethylene (HDPE) an water resistant, breathable, strong, tear resistant and long lasting. Lightweight and durable, Tyvek offers extra protection as a tent footprint or can be used as a groundsheet. However it is only sold as water resistant and not waterproof. Certainly it is light and very durable. I've found this material initially has a slippy smooth surface, but after a few uses, it softens up and loses its stiff characteristics. If you need extra protection either underneath your shelter or maybe as an extra tarp, then well worth considering. Both Tyveks groundsheets have four corner tabs for pegging out. Certainly my experience so far indicates that it is suitable for both uses. Size: Duo XL - 210cm x 150cm Weight: 176gm

I bought their Tyvek double ground sheet and it’s already been to the top of ‘the cobbler’ twice since it arrived. Would I buy from this supplier again? Yes, without hesitation. 23 March 2020 | Mark Strong, tough material purchased to make a footprint for my Tarptent. I was using Polycro double-glazing film, which while cheaper and about 2/3rds of the weight, lasted a total of only 8 nights! I expect this will last me a couple of years! While this is a double XL-size and I expected to cut it down, I will actually use it whole in my Tarptent Stratospire 1, so I'd recommend most people to buy the larger size, as I can't see the single is quite big enough for all but the smallest tents. So, while I'm yet to use it in anger (damn this Coronavirus!) So, overall I'm extremely pleased with this tyvek groundsheet and definitely would buy it again. Why only 4-stars then? Well, it perhaps could be a little lighter - but maybe I'm being unrealistic? This review has not been appraised.
05 June 2018 | Ash Works really well. I’ve used it on a completely saturated pitch and although not completely waterproof did a brilliant job of keeping my Mat and kit dry. Packs down really small, cheap and weight is minimal! Good purchase! 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.
