Montane have taken the original Grand Tour 55 pack and added all the comfort features which will appeal to the female user. The design and structure offers better balance and padding when you need it most.
The bulk and volume is much more balanced and the placement of the pockets and extras really do work.
Rose has confirmed that the S/M is ideal for petite ladies around 5’4” (who usually struggle for a good fit) and the M/L naturally for taller.
Ideal for an experienced backpacker and even for youngsters which would make doing DoE a trip of comfort instead of traditional agony.

I telephoned and received excellent advice and recommendations. Very friendly and Knowledgeable. felt I was being given advice based on the best product for the situation rather than trying to sell my the most expensive product in store. I chose this rucksack for the Gold D of E Expedition to replace a much heavier Vango one which had been recommended on the D of E website. This rucksack comes in two sizes to suit different sites and is also made to fit the female frame which made it much more comfortable. Extremely pleased with my purchase and the personal touch of a handwritten good luck note and a packet of skittles to boost energy during the Expedition was a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend this rucksack and shopping here again. Thank you.
