Just what we wanted!
Friday, 5 October 2018  |

We got this for my son to use on his Duke of Edinburgh Award. It was perfect - really light but easily strong enough. He was carrying about 13kg and it worked really well.
Service level was fantastic. I called to ask some questions and received great advice. The backpack was delivered the next day.
Couldn't be more pleased!

Bought this to replace my original 2011 Mariposa. Not yet used in the wilds yet (TGO Challenge is first planned trip) but it looks a great improvement on the original

I wanted to wait until I used it and I've just come back from a walk of the Tarka trail so I was wearing this for six days straight and found it very comfortable at all times with around 13 kilos most of the pack I own

I bought this for use on long hikes of a week or more, particularly a planned winter Hadrian’s Wall crossing. Earlier in the year I experienced problems with one of my AC joints while walking the Yorkshire Wolds Way.
I decided upon this pack because it offers supreme comfort at all the contact points, it compares favourably to my Osprey Atmos 50 AG pack but at a fraction of the weight. Clearly the two packs are designed to carry differing payloads but if your load is light, you must consider this pack.
The advantages are many but it’s genius is all about practicalities where everything has a place in the outside pockets except those items you absolutely need to keep dry. It is a complete pleasure to use and carry. Bob is right about side compression it is well catered for and personally I cannot fault it.

Perfect Product
Sunday, 27 August 2017  |

Having used a rucksac weighing 3kg on a long trek earlier this year I was looking for a lightweight replacement.
The Mariposa does the job perfectly. I particularly like the large pockets. I can easily fit my tent into one of these. Looking forward to my next adventure. Thanks

Well made, nice features.Lid closure could be better.Lack of side compression straps let it down.Appears comfy enough when loaded.Yet to try it out so time will tell.

Please see the blue tabs on the side of the pack, which enable you own compression sytem to be used. Either cord or shock cord, depending on your needs.

Mariposa 2016
Tuesday, 24 May 2016  |

Both the rucksack and hip belt arrived at the stated time. The items were very well packaged.
Fitting the hip belt and rucksack stay was very fiddly as I couldn't find the video.
I was impressed by how light and comfortable it seems when test loaded.

Such a practical pack
Wednesday, 18 May 2016  |

I received my Mariposa backpack yesterday. I love it! It's just a pity that shipping is only UK-oriented and I had to resort to some organisational acrobatics to get this pack in Malta. With the help of the vid I added the belt to the pack and inserted the frame ( bit of a hit and miss at first with finding the right way to insert it). I love the seat that comes with it and the possibility to tuck my sleeping pad behind it ( I'll probably ditch the frame at some point). Two minor things: the build-in whistle seems to have been removed from the 2016 version (I would have gladly paid the extra 5 bucks) and according to the vid, there was supposed to be extra rope in the zip pocket . On the upside: I did get a packet of Skittles inserted in the package, so daughter was happy. All in all: this must be the most practical backpack for long haul trekking and I cannot wait to try it out.
