Titanium Flint Igniter (T-414)

I am using this to light a gas stove. The spark produced is fine for this but I find the wheel too small to use one handed. A small fire steel would be more useful and cheaper.

Totally not needed. I have waterproof matches, fire steel and lighters, but hey, it's titanium,and beautifully designed and engineered. A great present for the person who really has everything! Yet another investment for a happy, tactile future!

this is beautifully made and a joy to own , there cannot be many fire starters that weigh less , it lights warmed meths no problem , was sceptical about the claim to work when wet so ran it under the tap,, took several spins of the wheel,, and there were sparks again!! so it does work when wet . it would be very easy to lose but comes with a clip built in so can be fastened to something bigger , deserves five stars ,, but it's let down by a over fiddly flint changing process, a crosshead screwdriver is needed.. not something i usually carry with me,
the flint is a consumable item and it should be easy to replace without the need for tools ,so it loses a star for this

I normally use a fire steel, a two handed operation, and I once spilt meths when knocking the stove.
With this one hand holds the burner and shields the wind and the other can produce the spark. Very controlled.
Not as many sparks as from a fire steel but much simpler and it works.

Arguably this is such a simple idea you wonder why no one else has thought of it before. That said. It just works. Small, light, convenient and works great. Buy one.
