DD Superlight S (Solo) Tarp

For the low weight and tiny pack size its brilliant. Purchased mainly for cycle touring and with a bivi bag it's big enough to give me discrete full protection from the elements if needed when wild camping or for privacy if using an occasional campsite. Seems to be very well made and should last a long time if looked after. Comes with the DD super light pegs and 4 guys which work well and is all you need for starters but you can ditch the line locks to save a few more grams and make even more packable. BPLs film will give you all the advice you need with easy knots and set up ideas. Cannot recommend BPL enough. Good honest advice and managed to organise quick delivery over a bank holiday weekend. Would give 6 stars if I could.

Nice and light shelter that I got to primarily keep in a day pack as a lunch stop shelter. Ok there are cheaper heavier ones but I can put this in a trouser side pocket and not notice it.

This would make an ideal extended porch for a tent too without adding excess weight

Cannot fault the team at Backpacking light at all. Product was as expected, but delivery was very fast and the customer service is fantastic. The little touches like the hand-signed note and the Tarping DVD mean I will definitely be shopping here again. The DVD has a good section on knots that we could all learn something from. Great work team, truly exceptional.

Great service and the tarp works very well. Its tiny when packed into the stuff sack.

The tarp video is a very welcome bonus, and is much better that youtube videos.

As advertised, arrived quickly and very tiny packed. The tarp seems very sturdy and tough considering its weight. Recommend this as the lightweight reasonable price option. The size is reasonable and allows for several set up options. Brilliant service and the tarp DVD is a nice touch, as are the skittles. Will buy from here again.

I have this compact, light tarp for a soon planned bikepacking trip. It's the perfect size, 2.8m length allows for a closed in end offering good protection and enough room to sleep in comfort. Having used a 3x3 DD previously I knew the great flexibility of the many attachment points and having the same format in a compact solo tarp is perfect for my needs. A great space and weight saver. *****

ideal for one,goes up real quick so ideal for shelter when brewing up/having dinner as well as overnights.plenty of tie points so very flexible pitch options.

Really small packed down. Very light. Haven't tested it in Heavy rain yet.
