Ideas, Suggestions and Objects of Desire for Christmas
These are great, they are admittedly more of a comfort/luxury item in my view. I do regularly take it with me in lieu of a battery LED lantern. The citronella candles inside, I am not sure how much use that really is in keeping mozzies off but if nothing else its a smell I have come to love. I dont, at this time have the reflector but the neoprene case has kept it safe through many miles. I Bivvy with a tarp if its raining so have not had to worry about the placement of this so much. A lot of heat does escape from the top and I would probably not use in a tent. But to each their own. The light is enough to let you find your way back to your sleeping bag or to see basics. Obviously not going to hold out for detailed work or reading at least not in the positions I use it. I have to be cautious as I camp with an excitable and clumsy Border Collie.
I accidentally took this apart when I first got it, and then managed to get it all back together again. Its so simple, and well made. Packs down small, and adds a special touch of comfort.
I recently purchased the Candle Lantern, Reflector, and some 9 hour candles, and have not been disppointed. Although yet to filed test, it is a very smart piece of kit, and folds away to nothing - easy to find a small corner in the rucksack. As always the service and after care was second to none.
I bought this for my husband and he loves it. It is very well build and easy to take apart in order to clean it. The candle which we used lasted more than nine hours. I do not think 5 stars is enough
