I have been trying to find a manufacture who makes this kind of solo set for a while. The best quality, durable, well made, practical, light, easy packed and a joy to use. This is it!
In our experience, we do like to have a mug and a pot to make the most of our meals. Some people can manage with just a pot, however a separate mug to drink from, or to cook with while you eat out of the pot, always makes the food taste better in our book.
This combination has it all. Firstly the 400ml mug is 100ml larger than any other single skin mug around. So in itself this is one large cup of Tea or a medium sized meal. This stacks neatly around the base of the 750ml pot, which then leaves the pot able to hold a 110 Gas Cart plus stove and accessories, or 2 x 110 Gas Carts.
This in turn packs away into the nylon stuff sack for easy packing.
Judging amounts of water required for your cooking process is easy, as there are internal markers in 200ml increments. (Or in fl/oz in old money)
The advantage and disadvantage of a tall narrow pot, is that it heats the food rapidly, so naturally you need to keep stirring the food when the heat is high. However if you combine this with a pot cosy system, you will have a great cooking/simmering combination which saves a vast amount of fuel.
Evernew are manufacturers with the highest pedigree. Everyone I know who has an Evernew pot, pan or mug swears by them and are confident they will pass them onto their children to use in their pursuits for many years to come. This is one of the main reasons we have chosen to work with them.
The equipment is beautifully made using the highest quality Titanium and 'cold pressed'. They may be a bit more expensive than the norm, but we are confident you will never regret your purchase.
Stock supplied comes with a red handle.
• Rugged and light titanium reduces pack weight • Formed and rolled edge provides extra strength • Includes perfectly nested companion cup • Insulated handles • Nylon stuff sack • Holds two 110g canisters or one canister and a stove

Update 29/5/11: Following an interesting question, I have now found that the Solo Set fits neatly inside the Evernew 900ml Pot, should you wish more cooking options!
Update 6/9/11: If you intend to use the Solo Set with the DX Stand and Meths Burner, it is advisable to have the Trivet also, as it narrows the flame and keeps it focused on the base of the narrower pot.
Update 31/3/12: Evernew Solo set is ace. I have managed to fit the honey stove square set up, trangia stove, fuel bottle, coffee, flint & steel, folding spork and...wait for it....the filter part of a standard cafetiere with a sawed-off plunger. The cafetiere fits the solo pot like they were made for each other. Perfect coffee every time. All I have to do is screw the plunger onto the filter and add coffee to the boiled water and plunge, pour and enjoy! I just finished my first pot cosy too (after a bit of trial and error) and will be going out for my first ever 2 night-stay in the woods in a couple of weeks (so many more factors to consider than for one night only). Many thanks for all your great gear and service. Long may you continue. Cheers, Siggy.
A very lightweight piece of kit. Seems rugged enough for most jobs. Admittedly the pot was smaller than I imagined and the handles red not black. Although obviously this does not affect function. Despite its size I'm hoping it will work well for me, although a 750ml pot may be needed at some point. Fast and well informed service.
Possibly my first ever review on anything. Bought the evernew to use on a small cycle tour. Turned out to be spot on, very light easy to pack away with its on stuff sack. I managed to pack a trango stove, some fuel and a titanium spork inside. I used the cookset on the honey stove and was really impressed how quickly it cooked my food or booked water for me coffee. If there was one slight downside is the lid doesn't fit as snug on cup as to the pot. But still the first thing to I will pack. May invest in the evernew stove to go with it. As for the service, I ordered on bank holiday Friday and still received first thing on wed morning. I like the little note and complimentary courtesy call. Excellent service...
