Product Code:  UD163
Brand:  Montane

The Yupik pack replaces the last model from Montane the Grand Tour 70. It is a similar weight, due to the material being upgraded to give you a pack which will take on your adventure with ease and live to tell the tail.

The key features have to be the adjustable back system, removeable lid, included rain cover, great load carrying ability and a lower external zipped access point, for those people who like compartments instead of ‘pack diving’ to get to the bottom.

This is for the long distance hikers who want a sturdy load carrier and who aren’t bothered about a few extra grams. However for a 65 litre pack it is still very respectable at 1.6kg.

Montane states: At only 1.5kg the fully featured Yupik 65 seriously punches above its weight. Although one of the lightest weight 65 litre trekking packs on the market no compromise has been made. This pack boasts fantastic load transfer and carrying comfort from the height adjustable, ventilated ZephyrAD back system, an extendible/removable lid, double lid closure, multiple storage solutions, including the iconic double front zipped mesh pockets and a base compartment. The Yupik 65 allows you to ‘pack more’ but ‘carry less’ making it the perfect partner for unsupported stints in the wilderness.

Yupik 65
Sunday, 6 June 2021  |

returning to backpacking after a gap of 25 yrs I was looking for a new sac & on spec especially with the adjustable back length went for the Yupik 65. I set off on a x4 day backpack & soon adapted to all current features the with no issues especially as it was open country The Epynt Way so it was 'stream - stream' so I carried 3 ltr of water plus a press filter loading me to 15 kg at times. The pack behaved perfectly hence a 5 * rating.

Bob's video was accurate informative and very helpful in deciding to finally replace my 20-year old bag with one of these new fangled things.
Durable material, good weight carrying capacity and customisable for shorter trips by removing the floating lid.
