| The idea of saving a considerable amount of fuel and maintaining heat in your cooking pot (instead of simmering) by adding a layer of insulation in the form of a pot cosy isn't new. If you are a user of freeze dried packet food. You know what its like to taste your meal getting colder as you try to eat it as fast as you can before it turns unpleasant. Wouldn't it be great to have some kind of cosy to keep it warmer longer? Gossamer Gear sell a great many of their cosy covers which work in conjunction with their own sized cooksets. We've now found the same highly heat reflective and insulated material and there's enough in the sheet provided in this kit, to make two or three pot cosy's and have enough left over to use as a effective windshield. For really cold conditions you could make a cosy 'double thick' for even more insulation. 1000mm x 500mm ideal for one or two pots. 1000mm x 1000mm ideal for two or three pots. Made in the UK meeting BS EN ISO 9002.

22 May 2022 | Garth Arrived very quickly and already been cut to shape and used in the field to keep the heat in the pan. Works a treat. This review has not been appraised.
26 August 2021 | Jon Haven’t tried it out in the wilds yet but it’s easy to cut and shape, looks way smarter than the (pretty tattered) old cosy and there’s plenty material left to insulate more stuff. This review has not been appraised.
04 August 2020 | Gordon I've made a pot cosy for my 1300ml pot (following the instruction video) and two pouches for dehydrated meal packs. This review has not been appraised.
13 May 2020 | Gabriela I just got my pot cosy kit. Everything looks very good and I'm happy to assemble it. Sending went pretty fast (1 week to Norway). I even got refund since sending was cheaper after all - I have never received refund from any store for that reason before (I'm impressed). Communication was clearly, fast and person who contacted me was very kind! I'm super satisfied and recommend! Cheers! This review has not been appraised.
14 April 2019 | David I bought the double sheet as I didn't know how much I'd use, there's plenty of it and I had a really enjoyable afternoon making a couple of 'pot cosy's'; material really easy to work with. I haven't tested them in the field yet but I think they'll be great and at least it's a useful way to keep the lid on pans and the contents inside whilst it's in the backpack. Thanks for the instrucional vdo. David. This review has not been appraised.
03 May 2018 | Joshua Super easy to make with easy youtube instruction. Mine took about 30 minutes although I am rubbish with anything other than walking in the hills! Would recommend this for any light weight trekker. Quality product and quality service as usual from BPL! This review has not been appraised.

19 March 2018 | Mark I used this to make a pot cosy 2 parts and a food package cosy. it worked perfectly and looked professional finish when done. Definitely keeps the food warmer longer. Good stuff. Very fast delivery too. This review has not been appraised.
15 January 2018 | Tim Very good service This review has not been appraised.
18 July 2017 | David Another great Bob Cartwright solution to a problem I didn't even know I had! Followed the instructions on the video and within 90 minutes (hardly Bob's claimed record) me and the missus had it nailed. It's when you first use the pot cosy that you realise just how much sense it makes. My trusty Evernew Titanium 900ml pot now cooks my meal using (a bit) less fuel, and the food stays piping hot in the pot to the last mouthful. I used to wrap my pot in a fleece jacket in a partially successful attempt to produce the same effect, but this just rocks. This review has not been appraised.
