| We often suggest using a tennis ball cut in half at each end of your pole, to protect your shelter from the pressure point created by a narrow pole and to prevent the pole from sinking into the ground, thus reducing overall tension in the shelter. We have also suggested in the past motorcycle side stand plates, Marmite lids (love it or hate it) and other similar ideas to stop the pole from sinking. 29 June 2021 | David Repeat purchase have used these a few time's now, as well as using at the top of the pole they are great to use under the pole on wet ground, last time out I used two on the hammock pole and we also used one on a tent awning to stop water pooling This review has not been appraised.
