What's the difference between this cream and the normal Gehwol Footcream?

They are both very similar and do a fantastic job, except the Extra Cream, contains less fatty residue, so if you are using the normal Footcream and find it gets absorbed by the socks you are using, this Extra Cream leaves a cleaner surface on your skin and is easier to 'work in'.

We've had many walkers come back to us and say for long distance hiking and treks, this product seems easier to use. The choice is yours!

For strained feet and highly stressed skin. Gehwol Footcream Extra prevents aching feet, sores, blisters and chafing. It has an anti-inflammatory effect, prevents athletes foot, and brings back the activity of the perspiratory glands back to a normal level. The cream eliminates foot odour and other side effects of excessive foot perspiration.

Gehwol Footcream Extra strengthens the skin and makes it resistant. In addition, the footcream offers protection against cold feet and frostbite.

Gehwol Footcream Extra has been produced since 1882 and is constantly adjusted on the proven basis to the current scientific knowledge. It has been successfully used a million times over to treat overstrained feet.

LOVE YOUR FEET

I know it's difficult to love your feet after a long days backpacking over the mountains particularly if you wear porous footwear or waterproof socks, but rubbing Gehwol foot cream into then after soaking then in a stream or wiping them down with wet wipes not only soothes your feet but also improves the atmosphere of your shelter. GREAT SMELLING AND SOOTHING FOOT CREAM

Rubbed some cream into 1 foot (just to do a comparison) The foot with cream on felt noticeably more comfy & relaxed Cant wait to get to the hills to try it out properly

A good product to slap on a walkers most important bits of kit.
The cream covers well, you don't really need a lot, 2 peas worth. Massage all over and well between toes. Eventually it dries and leaves no oily trace. Good gear.

I have used this cream before and it along with the service from BPLUK are great. Used cream every morning on the Tour de Mont Blanc a few years ago and could not fault it as it kept my feet in good condition over the 10 days I was on the go.

Used on the pennine way for 3 days
weather dry so not yet fully tested. Nice to use. Easy to decant the amount needed into a small pot. No blisters or sores.

Awesome cream, helped me through a C2C trip. Very thick and needs rubbing in. Great menthol /eucalyptus smell, very strong, almost hospital like, and it clears the airways in a good way! Not to be applied in a busy pub or café though due to the smell! I once had all the staff looking for the source of the scent!

Not for squeezy bottles

Tried this product in sachet form a few times & found it helpful. Bought a tube this time but the cream needs to be decanted into a small tub as it is too thick for a squeezy bottle & the tube is too much to carry. The cream itself is on the thick side & requires massaging in rather than a quick rubbing in. This is usually beneficial in itself except on sore spots. Give it a go.
