Large enough to use as a pot for cooking, yet small enough to use as a bowl, the Vargo Titanium Sierra 750 brings new functionality to the classic Sierra cup design. Topped off by the Vargo original strainer lid with heat-resistant knob, it’s a multifunctional piece of cook and dining ware that your grandpa would be proud to own. And with titanium construction, it’ll be around long enough for your grandkids to use.
Angled sides make cleaning and eating simple
Fold-away handle to easily convert from eating bowl to cooking pot
Tight fitting strainer lid with an easy-to-grip heat-resistant knob to prevents burns
I bought a Sierra 750 to supplement my usual minimal brewkit on a 200 mile walk/run, and it proved to be a great choice. I used it throughout the trip, for breakfasts and suppers, sometimes just as a bowl and sometimes as a cooking pot. I cooked noodles, pasta, couscous and porridge and ate straight out of the pot.
During the day it lived in my pack, packed full of food, and so took up very little space or weight.
Good points: - Perfect size for a meal for 1, either as a bowl or a cooking pot. - Very stable on top of my small gas stove. - Seems efficient, with the sloping sides absorbing heat as well as the bottom. - Lovely shape to eat out of. - Neat folding handle that locks in place in use, but folds away for storage. - Mesh bag to hold everything together. - Light!
Bad point: - None, as far as I can see. - Well, maybe the price!
All in all, a great little pot which will be going with me on many more trips!
