12 February 2021 | Marc Very easy set-up, even for a newbie like me. The instructions that come with it are very clear and it includes everything you need to get it hanging straight out of the bag – tree huggers, soft karabiners and adjustable cord to get the tension right. The soft karabiners seem fine to me, can't imagine needing to replace them with metal ones. Usual tip-top service from Backpacking Light. This review has not been appraised.
10 April 2018 | Mike I took my brand new hammock out for two night trip on local trail, after a quick inspection of the rigging. Running late, I had to sling first time in the dark in bramble-infested woodland. It was a doddle, and I wouldn’t have found anywhere on the ground for my usual bivvy set up. It has earned a place in my strictly lightweight kit for a 6 day walk in remote Scottish parts. Haven’t needed the karabiners so far as soft shackle seems ok. 11 January 2016 | David Ever seen a clown pull a never ending hanky from his sleeve? Kinda what the hammock reminds me of when you take it from the stuff sack, light and compact and this is the cheapest i could find on the net, saved myself £15 on the hammock mozzie net an tarp, highly recomended 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.
09 November 2015 | Anthony Ok, so I haven't actually tested the hammock as its for a Christmas present. But if the product lives up to even half the customer service level from BPL & DD Then I will be happy. I have had DD products before and no issues. This is as described , a lightweight hammock, treat it gently and I'm sure it will serve you well. Many thanks. This review has not been appraised.
28 September 2015 | Robert Great little hammock takes up no space at all in your pack quick and easy to put up. I found it very cumfertable for a person of my size 5 foot 7 and 11.4 stone. It works great with the backpacking light under over quilt suspended under neath by a pice of shock cord each end. This review has not been appraised.
07 March 2015 | Andrew I have this and the frontline hammock. they both work fine but the superlight is the one for backpacking. Very compact and light. Very comfortable. The under blanket is highly desirable which adds to weight and bulk, but its still the best nights sleep outdoors. 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.
22 October 2014 | David Having recently ordered the DD Superlight Hammock and Tarp set up via telephone order( great service), it was delivered prompt as promised with nice note and skittles). Headed to local woods for an overnighter to test out my new system. Superlight - check. Tiny pack size - check. Super simple and fast set up - check. Comfortable - check. Super quick tear down and pack away - check. It rained heavy during the night with moderate winds and it stood up 100%. Can't fault the system at all if you throw away the supplied guide lines and pegs and forget they were even included! 4 of 4 people found this review helpful.
