Very light and packs super small. I always keep it in my bag as an emergency shelter, but have also used it as a sleeping bag liner on unseasonably cold nights.
I would not choose to use it as a bivvy without a tarp, as the material is only water resistant, and the entrance is not at all weather proof. However, with a tarp and ground cloth it will protect you bag from spray, drips, dirt etc. it is as breathable as a bivvy can be, so condensation is minimal.
only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the price, which I feel is a little steep, especially as I would not expect it to last as long as other basic bags on the market.
