Part of the new DD Superlight Range (range includes hammock and mosquito net).

Pack size:   19cm x 11cm x 8cm

The DD Superlight Tarp has 19 attachment points like their other tarps which allows it to be set-up in literally hundreds of different ways!

It can be used as a hammock tarp, set-up on the ground as a 'tent', group shelter and many more uses!

Weighing only 470g and packing up very small it is ideal for anyone looking to cut their pack weight down to an absolute minimum. Made from strong ripstop nylon with PU 3,000mm coating (completely waterproof even in the heaviest storms).

Like all of their tarps it is fully waterproof and taped along the central seam.

The Superlight Range is more expensive than their other products due to the higher cost of using the lightest materials.

Plus of course every tarp we sell, arrives with a free digital download of The Tarp Video which will enable you to learn all the knots you require to pitch the tarp perfectly first time.

Flexible fun
Monday, 29 June 2020  |

Spent a lot of time debating between the 3x3 and the smaller option. Glad I bought this one as it gives more flexibility for little weight/bulk penalty. Very happy with my purchase.

Very Light And Water Proof
Thursday, 22 August 2019  |

This was bought as my first ever tarp and was used on a bike packing trip. It packed down easily and kept the weight down. Easily fit two people under it and kept us both dry in torrential rain that lasted all night!

Definitely recommend it but get extra cord and learn the knots in the free video you WILL need them !

Excellent service too helped me replace a tarp in time for my trip due to m buying the wrong size. Excellent!

Good tarp but room for improvement
Friday, 13 October 2017  |

I like this tarp, it seems well made, strong and lightweight... All things you want in a tarp really. My only slight niggle are that attachment loops (the attachment points themselves seem very strong). These loops may be fine but seem a little too lightweight. I will be sewing on some additional material to strengthen them so they don't run the risk of being worn through by friction with the ridgeline. It's not really a big issue, but certainly some think ng DD could have done in production with only sacrificing a little on the weight. All in all a good tarp that I would happily buy again, because the efforts put into addressing this issue is very little in the grand scheme of use

Its worth noting that I also bought some paracord (20m), 12 pegs, and a 5ltr drybag to store it in. This to me seems like a complete basic tarp kit.

Great service and so far great product
Friday, 11 August 2017  |

As you can see from all the other reviews, the service here is brilliant, and i experienced the same high standard. The DD superlight tarp has a good reputation and so far it has held up to this from my experience. The only thing is that the end ridgeline loops are slightly smaller and thinner material than the normal DD tarp, but so far feel strong and durable

Great tarp
Thursday, 20 July 2017  |

The tarp is great and survived many set ups and plenty of rain. What it comes with is not so good. The guy lines - only 4 and too short, the pegs - only 4 and although light they're not great to handle with tiny heads and dull grey in colour can be lost easily, and the bag is way too small - manufacturer stuffs it into the smallest possible bag to make it look small so it will sell- but once you add the proper length and quantity of lines and pegs and then try folding and rolling it back up in the field (as opposed to folded and compressed dead flat in the factory) you need to find a bag at least 50% bigger. So buy it - it's a great tarp - then be prepared to get some paracord and a few pegs and find a new bag amongst your spare kit. Well worth the money!

I have a MSR 100 Wing as well, and I payed 150 for 2 pegs. Obviously!!

They're very much alike, size & weight,

but the DDH SLT has more guying points.

So far I've only tested the SLT today, but since it's sold by BPL I rest assured concerning the quality and I'm very confident after today's testing that it will do a nice job.

I usually sleep inside a mosquito A-frame mesh tent under a Tarp, but after having received the BEAUTIFUL Tarp DVD as courtesy from the good folks at BPL and some Skittles (always Skittles, I now must up my Tarp game!

So today was a big day,

I only used line and knots l learned from Bob on the DVD, no "line-loks". Good for me I also picked up some nice Luxe Outdoor Tyvek ground sheet, because I got so inspired that I have to practice, practice, practice.

Is there a downside side with this Tarp?
Well, it only comes with 4 lines (bad quality) and 4 pegs, so can't really use "right out of the box". You'll need at least another ridge line or 2 pieces to make an A-frame.

Sure, you could make a "Lean to", but this big Tarp and only 4 small pegs...

I recommend ordering some Dyneema line (30 m) and a set of additional pegs, but keep the pegs outside, because the stuff sack is a very tight fit when you have lines attached.

A great tent for a tarp
Thursday, 5 January 2017  |

Used under rain for 2 nights, with the tent setup, and it worked perfectly well. Plenty space in it, to store stuff, to cook, to sleep, to change clothes.

With a net tent which runs around 85g, this is almost a real tent, (around 800g all included), you can close the door quite narrow, so you have a cheap and huge tent...and a tarp of course

The main point is that the fabric retain water, so the nylon relaxes too much, and it's difficult to dry it specially when it's raining few days, so I guess it's a bit heavier, but for a versatile tarp its worth it.

Special thanks to BPL for their unic services and kindness : the dvd is really usefull, and I learned the main knots, merci beaucoup.
