This pair of poles have won numerous awards across all outdoor media and its easy to see why.
Firstly they are British Made, by a small company who are regular outdoors people themselves. They hike in the UK and Europe so everything they make gets thoroughly tested and checked for comfort and performance.
The advantage of the extended grip comes when ascending a short climb. You simply slide you hand from the strap and run it down the pole thus shortening the working length. At the top slide the hand back up and into the strap.
The simple classic design mixes functionality with form made from top quality 7075 Aluminium alloy - it also features a switchable dual spring and an extended ergonomic EVA grip and a tough long lasting tungsten carbide tip. These poles are really well finished, strong and ultra reliable. The breathable and adjustable wrist strap is comfortable and lasts well even when you put it under pressure in a fall, and pulling the poles out of mud. They are also supplied with removable snow and trekking baskets which can be changed to suit the time of year.
The expansion range is from 65cm to 135cm and if you use these in conjunction with our backpackinglight 14mm pole extenders, you'll be able to link two poles together to form a strong solid support for your tarp or tent!
Weight 235 grams each.

I've reached that age where my knees don't work so well, especially descending. So f it wasn't for these poles I'd still be at the top of Moel Hebog at this very minute. They are light, quick and secure to unpack, pack, and adjust, good shock absorbers, and the extra-long handle comes in very handy.
Poles are ok but I noticed the rubber ferrules were a bit lightweight but I assumed they were made of super tough material. On first use after walking no more than 3 miles the metal tips of the poles had pierced the ferrules. That happened on mostly soft heathery paths. Will have to go out now and buy some beefier rubber tips!
