| A while back we designed our own quilts here at BPL HQ which incorporated all the key features that we, as regular quilt users, would like to see in a commercial production. These two products from Thermarest the 32F and the 20F pretty well hit the spot our original vision was aimed at plus take it a stage further. Firstly to gain maximum effectiveness a quilt requires box wall construction for maximum warmth. Ideally filled also with a high value down, you can't get much better than the 900 fill hydrophobic down. There are many 'clipping' systems to keep the quilt in place over the base mat on the market and we believe that keeping it simple is best. Thermarest refer to theirs as the 'synergy link' a grand title for a simple elasticated band which slides under the mat and can clip in two places on the quilt. At the chest or at the shoulder. It does offer though the all important quick release, so you can move around the shelter or sit up without that 'pinned down' feeling. There's a simple popper around the back of the neck, but more importantly both versions of the quilt incorporate a neck baffle with synch cord. Vital for keeping the heat in. There is a sewn in foot box which is where this designed differs to ours. Certainly if you always need a foot box, then this will keep you toasty. (*) Finally the spec suggests that this Regular size is only suitable for those up to 6 foot. I'm a few inches over and have always found the Regular Thermarest quilts to be fine for me needs. If you wish to purchase the Large version which increases width by 15cm and length by 10cm please get in touch for availability and price. All in all, one of the best, if not the best commercially available quilt design around, which I'm sure would be perfect for 99% of users. Key Features

09 October 2019 | Jonathan A new convert to quilt, I was surprised how thin this product is, but apart from one night when the temp dropped below freezing I have had no problems. Off for a few nights this weekend (October) and have no worries about using this quilt. 3 of 3 people found this review helpful.
