9 October 2017 | Admin On Tuesday the 25th April 2017 I set off from Wembury just outside Plymouth on the Two Moors Way, 40 years after ‘the way’ was officially launched. I had given myself a generous 8-9 days to tackled this route, which passes through some of the most remote and charming countryside in Devon, touching little backwaters rarely visited and certainly well off the traditional tourist trail. Using the Cicerone Press guide to the Two Moors Way and the Yellow Publications 2 map series as my only mapping, I was looking forward to dipping into the rich history and ancient past of this part of the world. This first podcast covers the shorter day one with a midday start and day two. It takes me from Wembury, to Yealmpton through Ivybridge and across a stretch of Dartmoor to Holne. |
9 October 2017 | Admin Many people ask me for the size difference between the Luxe Hex Peak F6A and F8 Octapeak. The Hex Peak F6A is ideal for the taller solo user, couple sharing and maybe even a small family or those with pets. The F8 Octapeak would make for a very comfortable family base unit, or 4 adults traveling very light. Full details for both shelters can be found over on backpackinglight.co.uk. |
9 October 2017 | Admin The Luxe range of Hex Peak products is extensive, but confusing in the way they have been titled. This video will give you more information about the V4A range and offers some hints and tips on how to make little modifications which may make your life easier. |
